Cub Scout Pack 534
Mansfield, Texas
When and where are the meetings?
Den meetings are held at FUMC in Mansfield on Thursdays at 7pm. See the Contact Us page for directions. Most Den and
all Pack activities are for the whole family. The Pack meeting is held at FUMC Mansfield one Saturday a month. See Scout
Tracks calendar for Pack meeting dates.
Do I have to stay at the meeting with my scout?
We encourage parents and guardians to stay with a scout during meetings, but it is not required per BSA guidelines. As
long as your den maintains two-deep leadership requirements you may leave your scout at a meeting or event. The only
exception to this is Tiger Cubs. An adult partner must accompany a Tiger Cub to all meetings and events.
Can siblings attend pack functions?
Absolutely! Cub Scouts is about family. We encourage brothers, sisters, parents, and grandparents to attend!
What uniform shirt do I wear?
Generally, the 'activity' shirt (rank t-shirt) can be worn to regular den meetings and events that involve a physical activity. The
Class-A uniform should be worn for all other events - including the Pack Meeting! If in doubt what to wear, ask your den
leader. For more information on proper uniform guidelines, click here.
Is there anything I can do to help?
Cub Scouting relies on volunteers to be pack leaders. Volunteers come from all backgrounds and experiences. The Pack
is always looking for adults to step up and fill the roles of leadership as current leaders move on to the Boy Scout troops
each year. If you are interested in becoming a leader or committee member, please contact
Natalie Leger .
What is Roundtable?
Meets 1st Thursday of each month  7:30 pm at Rush Creek Christian Church, 2401 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX
76017. Roundtable is a monthly gathering of leaders in the district to share and learn. Cub Scout Roundtable presents
ideas for your program for the month to follow.
What is the difference in a Pack, a Den, and a Troop?
A Den will have up to 8 Cub Scouts of the same age or grade with an adult Den Leader. Several Dens make up the Pack.
Troops are Boy Scout units whose members are at least 10 1/2 up to 18 years of age. Packs, Troops, and Venture Crews
make up Districts, and several Districts make a Council. We are Tejas District and Longhorn Council.
